Five people were taken into custody following a police chase through Towamencin Township this week.

Pennsylvania State Police confirmed five occupants fled into a wooded area along Kriebel Road near Fischer's Park in the township Friday morning after abandoning a stolen, damaged SUV, but all were taken into custody without incident.

Police said helicopter assistance was called in for the search, and a perimeter was established with help from local law enforcement, including Towamencin and Lower Salford township authorities.

The heavily-damaged SUV was abandoned in the driveway of a home on Kriebel Road, according to witnesses at the scene. Read more about the chase here.

🐶 Rescue of the Week

James Short | Wiss Now

Home At Last Dog Rescue is excited to introduce Stevie, an 8-month-old Maltese Poodle, as the featured rescue of the week.

Stevie came from a puppy mill in Lancaster, before making his way to his current foster home in Hatboro, through Home At Last Dog Rescue.

Stevie is five pounds of happiness and joy. Stevie suffered an injury involving a garage door, which left him without the use of his front legs. However, that doesn’t stop him from enjoying his life. With the help of his brand new 3D-printed wheels, Stevie is enjoying the ability to explore his new world and is ready to find his new home. Stevie does well with other dogs and loves to meet new people. An active family with kids would be best, as he is still a puppy and full of energy.

If you are interested in adopting Stevie or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the website at www.homeatlastdogrescue.com.
