A Philadelphia developer was set to make an informal presentation to Towamencin supervisors last night regarding a proposal for the future of the Freddy Hill Farms property.

The local institution previously announced it will close at the end of the season.

The pitch also included consideration for a zoning amendment that would allow up to 253 single-family homes to be built on the 130 acres of land; only 141 would be permitted under the current zoning. Stay tuned to North Penn Now for the latest.

🐶 Rescue Dog of the Week

James Short | North Penn Now

Meet Luke, a five-year-old coonhound currently being fostered by Home At Last Dog Rescue.

Luke is an active dog who loves to explore his environment. He previously lived in the city, so he is very used to lots of noise and sounds. After a day of sniffing around the world, he will happily settle down for some cuddles. Luke is crate- and house-trained and walks very well on a leash. Luke is great with other dogs and does well on car rides. A good home for him should include an active household.

If you are interested in adopting Luke or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
