🚨 Two Found Dead In Montgomery

James Short | North Penn Now
An emergency call to the Knights Inn on Bethlehem Pike in Montgomery Township led to a jarring discovery.
Two people were found dead inside a motel room around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Both people reportedly had gunshot wounds. The room’s outward-facing door was chain-locked from the inside and a witness claimed to have heard an argument earlier in the day. An investigation is underway, but details have been sparse so far.
🏫 Souderton Elementary School Renovation
The Souderton Area School District signed off on a $7.5 million plan to add onto and renovate West Broad Elementary School.
The project will include demolishing existing modular classrooms and adding onto the north side of the school building. The new construction will house a music room, bathrooms and both regular classrooms and small group instruction rooms; the new build will also be connected to the existing structure. The current building will also see upgrades.

🐶 Rescue of the Week

James Short | North Penn Now
Meet Periwinkle, a five- to nine-year-old pitbull looking for a forever home through Home At Last Dog Rescue. She is being fostered in the area after making her way up from South Carolina. Periwinkle is a happy girl who loves to meet new people. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle; Periwinkle is crate- and house-trained and great with older kids and other animals her own size. A fenced-in yard would be a great benefit in a new home, although not a requirement.
If you are interested in adopting Periwinkle or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
