Hilltown Police arrested a Dublin Borough resident on charges related to the alcohol poisoning of a minor.

A juvenile was admitted to Doylestown Hospital last October with a blood alcohol level of 0.228%, which is almost three times the legal limit of 0.08% for those of age. The victim drank liquor at a friend's house; cops and a state caseworker determined the alcohol was purchased and provided by 42-year-old Brian William Vanderleeuw. He has a hearing set in March and is currently free on $100,000 unsecured bail.

🚌 North Penn High takes precautions after threat

There was increased security at North Penn High yesterday after apparent threats against the school.

A threatening message was allegedly posted online and then reported to Towamencin Police via a 911 call, Principal Kyle Hassler said in an email to school families and staff members. Hassler said officials did not believe the threat was credible and asked parents "to speak with their children about the seriousness of threats, whether legitimate or not. Any students involved could face criminal charges and in-school consequences. "Threats are not a joking matter and will be taken very seriously," the principal wrote.
