A longtime Hatfield Borough restaurant is shuttering after almost four decades.
Casey's Saloon & Eatery announced its closure last week. It will remain open as a BYOB establishment for the time being, but the restaurant has sold its liquor license. The eatery's historic South Main Street building is also on the market; it opened as a grocery store before World War II and was The Speedway Grill for decades before Casey's took over in 1988.

🐶 Rescue of the Week

James Short | North Penn Now
This feature is a bit different this week. Meet Gobble, who is being fostered in Blue Bell through Home At Last Dog Rescue but is not yet ready to be adopted. He is a “special needs medical dog” receiving therapy and treatment to address his four abducted limbs — which means they were positioned outward at abnormal angles. He has made progress with walking and in his recovery, but he still has a lot of work to do before finding a forever home.
If you would like to contribute to Gobble’s recovery and medical needs, you can visit the group’s website to donate. HAL also accepts Venmo, @HomeAtLast-DogRescue. In addition to monetary gifts, HAL also needs food and supply donations for its dogs. If you would like to donate supplies, arrangements can be made here.
