After more than two hours of presentations, public comments, and expert opinions, the Montgomery Township Supervisors were still torn on the topic of a full-time fire department. While those in favor said there are matters of public safety at-hand, opposing views noted the cost and transparency as concerns.
In the end, a tight vote set the future plans into motion. Learn more about the options at https://northpennnow.com/news/2025/sep/23/montgomery-township-advances-plan-for-full-time-fire-department-without-consultant-review-in-3-2-vote/.

Rescue Of The Week: Bailey, a 3-year-old mastiff

Home At Last Dog Rescue is excited to introduce Bailey, a 3-year-old mastiff, as the featured rescue of the week. Bailey came from ACCT, before she found her way to her current foster home in Schwenksville, through Home At Last Dog Rescue.
Bailey is a 125-pound Mastiff who absolutely loves meeting new people. She enjoys being playful, lounging around the house, and going on casual walks. She is house-and-crate trained and does well with other dogs after a slow introduction. An ideal home for her would be moderately active. She also does well with children, though it is recommended that they be over six years old due to her size.
If you are interested in adopting Bailey or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the website at www.homeatlastdogrescue.com.
