Teenager sentenced to state prison for killing Souderton student in April crash, fleeing scene of crime

A Telford man, 19, was sent to state prison for five to 10 years after pleading guilty to felony accidents involving death and homicide by vehicle, for causing the crash that killed Noah Cecil, 15, a Souderton Area High School student on April 24, 2025, and fleeing the scene in Salford Township.

Logan Allen Freed, of the unit block of Klingerman Road, was sentenced Friday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court by Judge Risa Vetri Ferman, who accepted a plea agreement. He will be on five years of probation following parole.

🐶 Rescue of the Week

Rescues of the Week: Opal, Pearl, Emerald, Coral & Sapphire, five 9-week-old puppies

Home At Last Dog Rescue is excited to introduce Opal, Pearl, Emerald, Coral, and Sapphire, five 9-week-old puppies, as the featured rescues of the week. These sweet pups made their way up from South Carolina and are now settling into their foster home in Blue Bell, thanks to Home At Last Dog Rescue.

Like most young puppies, they are full of curiosity and playful energy. They get along wonderfully with people and children, and they’ve already shown an interest in meeting other dogs. While they’re still very young and will need patient owners committed to training and guiding them, each pup has the potential to grow into a loving lifelong companion.

If you are interested in adopting one of these puppies, or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the website at www.homeatlastdogrescue.com.
