🪖 A bomb scare at Army recruiting center

Google StreetView

A Towamencin man faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly making a bomb threat against the Army Recruiting Center in Doylestown — and that is only the start of the story.

Jeffrey Edward Fountain, 30, is accused of banging on the center’s door on Jan. 27 around 11 a.m. and claiming he had placed a bomb next door. Central Bucks Regional Police then made contact with Fountain at the scene. He behaved erratically, claiming he was there to enlist, and then eventually began disrobing.

Fountain stripped down to his underwear before being detained and taken to Doylestown Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Cops also later learned he had called a fake fire into 911 at the location of the recruiting center. He is free on $50,000 bail.

🐶 Rescue of the Week

James Short | North Penn Now

Meet Ziggy, a six-year-old Boston Terrier available for adoption through Home At Last Dog Rescue. She was rescued from a puppy mill in Lancaster and is currently being fostered in Blue Bell. Ziggy is a happy and loving girl who loves to play and is great with new people. She is crate-trained but could use a little work on her house training. She just had surgery on her knees, so a home with some patience for her recovery would be ideal.

If you are interested in adopting Ziggy or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
