〰️ So much for the squiggly lines

James Short | North Penn Now
The zany traffic calming chicanes on Grays Lane have run their course.
Montgomery Township’s Board of Supervisors has ordered the wavy yellow and white street lines and delineators be removed after a month in use — five months earlier than the traffic engineer behind the project and others suggested.
The intent was to reduce speeding on the road, but police said they only dinged one driver for going too fast in the monthlong span. Concerns about pedestrian safety, poor communication, threats to home values and a general dislike of the pattern were also voiced as reasons to bail on the concept.

🛑 What SEPTA cuts may mean for regional roads
Plans to slash SEPTA’s bus and rail services could mean a whole lot of additional traffic for Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
A traffic analysis by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission projects as many as 275,000 additional cars could be added to county roads on a daily basis if the proposed cuts go through starting in 2026. The study also predicts increased commute times on major routes, slower average travel speeds and a whopping two million additional vehicle miles traveled each day.

🐶 Rescue Dog of the Week

James Short | North Penn Now
Meet Tickle Tim, a four-month-old retriever mix being fostered through Home At Last Dog Rescue.
Tim was rescued from Georgia. He is a very sweet dog who has a loving and calm demeanor. When he’s not enjoying some sun in the yard, he’ll be sure to be snoozing away on your lap. He does well with other dogs and loves to meet new people. Tim is currently crate trained and walks well on a leash. He would do well with just about any family and environment.
If you are interested in adopting Tim or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
